Bill Savings Finder

Not sure which bill to tackle first? Add what you pay each month and this calculator ranks your bills by how much room there may be to save.

Type in what you pay each month and see where you are likely overpaying, how much you could realistically save, and the first call to make.

Realistic savings estimate

Typical ranges are approximate national figures based on commonly reported US averages for 2025-2026; your area and provider will differ. Estimates, not guaranteed savings.

How this works

For each bill, we compare what you pay with a typical national range and a realistic “achievable” price for someone who shops around or calls to negotiate. For bills with clear market prices (internet, phone, streaming) we use that target; for insurance and utilities, where your home, car and climate matter, we assume a modest percentage cut instead. Savings are shown as a low-to-high range, rounded, because nobody can promise an exact number. Your own results depend on where you live, your credit, your usage and what providers offer that week.

Are these savings guaranteed?

No. They are estimates based on typical prices. Many people beat them by calling their provider; others pay more because of where they live or their insurance history. Treat the range as a guide to where to start.

Which bill should I tackle first?

Start with the top item on your list. Internet, cell phone and car insurance usually give the biggest win for a single phone call or an hour of comparison shopping.

Do you store what I type?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to us or saved after you leave the page.

Getting the most from your results

Use your actual bills, not your memory. Monthly charges often creep up after promotional pricing ends, and taxes, equipment rentals and add-ons are easy to forget. Your online account or the last statement for each bill is the fastest way to get accurate numbers.

Once you see your top bill, focus on it first. One phone call or one round of quotes on your biggest overpayment usually beats small tweaks across every bill. Our negotiation scripts tell you exactly what to say.

Frequently asked questions

What should I have in front of me before I start?

Your most recent statements or account pages for internet, phone, insurance, electricity and gas, plus your bank or card statement to spot subscriptions.

How often should I check my bills?

A quick review every six months works for most households, plus any time a promotional rate is about to end or a policy is about to renew.

Can I lower a bill without switching providers?

Often, yes. Asking for current promotions, removing add-ons you do not use, returning rented equipment and asking for loyalty or retention offers can all lower a bill without switching.
